You can expect your child’s initial visit to last about one and a half hours, as well as time necessary for other testing such as laboratory studies or X-rays. In addition to seeing your child’s pediatric rheumatologist, you may be seen by multiple members of our care team including nurses, medical students and resident and fellow physicians-in-training. These team members all play an important role in the care of your child. You will be contacted after your child’s visit in order to explain the results of any laboratory tests and to discuss any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan.
